Constance Bynum is a hair braider who was born and raised in Nashville. She had her first taste of spoken word with Southern Word in the summer after her 6th grade year. She went on to perform with the Southern Word teen slam team and feature at major Nashville platforms such as TEDxNashville, Leadership Nashville, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and the unveiling of Nashville’s Witness Walls. She has a passion for raising awareness around mental health topics with her poetry. She enjoys spending time with her dog Vegas who is still kicking and sassy.
