Meredith Herrera

Position: Educator and Young Adult Coach

Meredith is passionate about helping students realize his/her/their potential, independence, and authentic self. She brings nearly 20 years of diverse experience working with young people and adults, and has a Masters of Education in Human Development focused in School Counseling. She is skilled in strategic planning, personal coaching, communication management, and professional development, and has served as a senior administrator in several schools. Meredith was most recently the Dean of Student Life at The Branson School, where she oversaw all aspects of student social emotional health and wellness. She also oversaw the diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts for the school for many years as the Dean of Inclusion. Now with Village Coaches, Meredith continues her work with students, encouraging them to be intrepid, courageously discover new things, author their own experience, and to serve a purpose in life larger than themselves. Meredith also regularly presents to groups of parents and educators on a range of social emotional learning topics. Having attended many ‘enjoyable but not very useful’ conferences herself, Meredith understands the importance of going beyond the theoretical. With a bias towards action and a goal of helping her audience feel greater confidence in their own capacity, her professional development presentations are designed to build skills and knowledge that can be put into practice right away.
