Milly Chacko is a former Special Education teacher with 15 years of experience working with children of all ages and all abilities. She passionately believes that children are more than a diagnosis or a numerical measure based on standardized tests. While teaching, Milly pursued a course of study in yoga and mindfulness. She developed programs in mindfulness for teachers and other adults, ran a nonprofit program bringing yoga to women in need, applied trauma informed mindfulness practices to middle school students, and is currently piloting a new class in her elementary school focusing on social emotional skills and mindfulness for students in grades Pre-K through 5th. Milly believes that we are all capable of anything regardless of our backgrounds, abilities, or what tests tell us. When all the parts of us are healthy and cared for, it leads to success- and more importantly, happiness within that success.
