Sonia Dominguez is the Chief Program Officer at AVANCE, Inc., where she provides leadership and strategy for programming across the AVANCE network. Before joining AVANCE, Sonia served as the senior director of learning networks for E3 Alliance, a collective impact organization based in Austin, Texas, where she led systems-change efforts in education to improve student outcomes from cradle-to-career. A Head Start graduate, Sonia draws upon her lived experience and passion to improve opportunities for underserved communities through education. Her work in education spans working with parents and children under 5 to teaching education courses at the University. Sonia’s experience includes serving as a public school teacher, instructional coach, mathematics coordinator, director of curriculum, and adjunct faculty. She earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in education from the University of Texas at El Paso.
